The Olases have been together for 65 years. They appear to have made peace with the idea of death. They keep their gravestone photo in their house, on display. Yet, this idea of impending loss causes them to alternate between seizing the moment and viewing the present through the past, reflecting on their legacy. He sculpted his statues at night. She was a part-time actress. Their art was their refuge in a regime ruled by political repression, a common point where two very different personalities met.
